While speaking with Josh Horowitz, Oscar Isaac shed light on both his past and future projects. He revealed that the development of Midnight Sons is underway without going into details. Isaac also touched upon his character, Moon Knight, who is expected to join the upcoming multi-superhero movie. The actor revealed how the Disney+ show’s director, Mohamed Diab, allowed him a lot of creative freedom to explore the realities and challenges posed by DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder).
It helped him portray Marc Spector, who suffers from the said condition. When asked whether he would return as Spector in Midnight Sons, the actor shared a vague response. “I mean, again, it’s a…there’s a very tonally…it’s really important, because we’re playing with real stuff,” he said on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. “It’s expressing something very real and challenging and difficult.” However, he urged fans to take the storyline and its characters seriously.
As per reports, the upcoming movie will see Blade (Mahershala Ali), Ghost Rider, and Moon Knight teaming up to fight either Lilith or Mephisto. When Horowitz tossed the idea of Ryan Gosling as the MCU’s next Ghost Rider, Isaac responded with unwavering conviction. “Make it happen, fellas. I mean, it’s a no-brainer,” he said. Moreover, the actor joked that if his character and Ali’s Blade could sit at the back of Rider’s bike and “hold him tight.”
He even urged fans to make a poster featuring the trio like this. As for Gosling, he discussed the possibility of playing Ghost Rider last month. The Project Hail Mary actor confirmed his meeting with the creators at Marvel. But he described it as a “complicated situation” and said he remains optimistic about landing the role. Do you think Gosling will do justice to Ghost Rider, previously played by the iconic Nicolas Cage?
