The highly publicized and messy legal dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni continues, with the next trial date set for next month. There have also been reports and rumors circulating about Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, leaving the United States to “rebrand” their lives. In a recent interview, Reynolds publicly voiced his support for his wife amid the ongoing legal battle and its surrounding repercussions.

Ryan Reynolds proud of “level of integrity” shown by Lively

While making an appearance on Today’s Sunday Sitdown series, Reynolds was asked how his family was holding up amid the high-profile legal battle. He replied that he couldn’t be more “proud” of his wife, praising her for her “level of integrity.” However, without going into the details of the case, he said that the public doesn’t know what is “really going on.”

“You really see the illusion behind so much of this stuff—digital life versus real life,” he said, adding, “Really, without getting into too much, I have never in my life been more proud of my wife. People have no idea what is really going on. I’ve never been more proud of someone in my life, with that level of integrity that they bring with them in everything they do.”

The Baldoni legal dispute hasn’t stopped the couple from appearing at social events together. Recently, they were spotted at a Wrexham match in March and also attended a Broadway show in New York in the same month.

As per media reports, the couple has been mulling over shifting base from the United States to the UK. Industry insiders have suggested that opportunities may be drying up for Lively in Hollywood and that a move to the UK could open up new acting opportunities. Meanwhile, the move would be convenient for Reynolds, who is part-owner of Wrexham football club in Wales.

However, the decision is reportedly on hold as they would have to prioritize their children’s preferences.

“With Ryan’s huge success with his Welsh football club, Wrexham, he has a great affinity for the UK,” an insider told the Daily Mail. The source further said that Lively “believes there are top-of-the-line filmmakers who could give her a second chance” in the UK.

Lively accused her It Ends With Us co-star Baldoni of misconduct on the sets of the film and of retaliation afterward. Ten of the thirteen claims made in Lively’s lawsuit were dismissed by a Southern District of New York judge, including allegations of s—– harassment, defamation, civil conspiracy, and multiple workplace-related misconduct charges. Meanwhile, the judge ruled that retaliation and breach of contract claims are to be decided by a jury.

Now, it remains to be seen what comes out of the trial involving Baldoni and Lively next month.
