Congratulations are in order for actor David Howard Thornton, who just got engaged to his girlfriend, Jada Christie. David Howard Thornton and his partner, Jada Christie, showed up at the Huntsville Comic and Pop Culture Expo in Huntsville, Alabama, on April 19. But guess what? With full make-up on and dressed head-to-toe as his iconic character, Art the Clown, Thornton didn’t let the three-day event go to waste.
Arriving before the papz with Christie, he got down on one knee, took out the ring, and said those magical words. In the video making the rounds on the internet, Jada can be seen surprised and emotional. Next, she hops a bit before bending forward to kiss David and says something to him in excitement.
After putting the ring on Christie’s finger, the Terrifier antagonist gets up and embraces her in a long hug, while posing for the camera. Hours later, Thornton also shared the clip on his official Instagram account. “She said YES!!! @lapetitejada,” the actor captioned the post, which drew heartfelt responses from both loved ones and fans.
Meanwhile, Thornton and Christie have reportedly been dating since September 2025. That month, the duo was spotted together at the SC Horror Convention. The Alabama native also shared an IG post, featuring the two at a promotional event for the fantasy film, Namaka. On November 1, 2025, Christie celebrated Halloween by sharing a mirror selfie of herself and David.
The following month, she gifted David a tee featuring multiple “derpy faces” of their pet dog, Lulu. Over the month, the pair has sweetly posted about each other online and has also made tons of public appearances. And now, David and Jada have made it official.
