Buckle up, horror fans, this will be a bumpy ride! This year is totally packed with new releases, be it adventure, fantasy and action movies, but hold up. There are promising releases this year, and Slay Day is one of them. The movie will have around 8000 possible endings, and here’s everything you should know about it!

Slasher movie ‘Slay Day’ likely to have around 8000 endings

Slay Day is one of those slasher movies you don’t want to miss out on. The movie, as reported by Variety, will have approximately 8000 endings and will be streamed across 1000 interactive screens, but here’s the thing.

The movie isn’t your usual slasher horror run-of-the-mill jumpscare flick. No, it is interactive, and the audience gets to decide the outcome as to who will survive the ordeal and who will succumb to the pressure.

It’s as wild as it gets, and the movie amps up the gore, macabre and the carnage. The movie stars Caleb Brown, Emma McNulty, Shelby Simmons, Jayden Bartels and several others in central roles.

Slay Day, written by Andrew Matisziw and directed by John David Buxton, follows the story of Angie, played by Bartels, and her friends who attend their prom night, but here’s where things get tricky. Everything goes down south when the town resurrects a dead killer who is out on a spree to end it all.

It’s not characters or directors who get to decide who will make it to the end, but the audience. The audience will vote through their phones as to who will make it out alive by giving the characters points.

The immersive Ctrl movie technology is made by Kino Industries. It is a cutting-edge, new-age innovation that blurs the gap between the actors and the audience. Through this technology, they would make the film seem like a VR experience sans glasses.

While the movie will be streamed across 1000 screens in theatres, no outcome or ending is estimated to be the same. This makes it a one-of-a-kind experience, thus adding to the more surreal and visceral nature of the entire process.

Slay Day is slated for release on February 12th, 2027.
