Labrinth has now made an accusation of lying to Sam Levinson on social media about his absence from Euphoria Season 3. This came right when Labrinth and his band, Jungle, announced a collaboration with Euphoria, just days before it returned. The feud began last week when Levinson told an interviewer he didn’t know the reason behind Labrinth’s absence. Labrinth soon replied that it was his choice to leave, and he refused to be treated in any way other than respectfully.

Labrinth withdraws his songs and disagrees with Levinson’s claims

On Instagram, Labrinth defended himself, denying Levinson’s claims. In particular, he claimed that the music was withdrawn by him personally and expressed that he is tired of people lying in this industry. “People will comfortably lie in this industry and still call themselves honest people… I decided to remove whatever music I had in it,” he wrote.

According to Labrinth, he contacted HBO about this situation, and there were no problems at their end.

This news may mean that Labrinth and Sam Levinson no longer collaborate. The absence of Labrinth’s songs means that a significant amount of work needs to be done before the release of Euphoria. Labrinth is well known among fans thanks to his contribution to the first two seasons of the series.

The soundtrack created by Labrinth allowed Euphoria to win several Emmy Awards and became recognizable. In connection with the absence of Labrinth’s contributions, Hans Zimmer took on the role of the only composer of the third season.

Hans Zimmer will create an atmosphere typical of Hollywood movies. According to Levinson, the new soundtrack will remind fans of old Hollywood Western films rather than the previous soundtracks.

Sam Levinson explained the necessity of changes by explaining that Season 3 is set five years later than previous seasons. Therefore, characters have matured and entered another stage of their lives. Due to these reasons, Levinson decided to change the sound of the series.

The reaction of fans was split: some supported Labrinth, while others wanted him to continue to work with Euphoria. The series will air on HBO Max on April 12.
