Game of Thrones was a road to fame for many actors, including Peter Dinklage. His breakthrough role as Peter Dinklage remains iconic for many reasons. The star will now feature in yet another promising show, that is, Alien Earth, so let’s take a look at that!

Peter Dinklage joins FX’s Alien: Earth S2

According to an exclusive report from Deadline, Peter Dinklage has now joined the cast of Alien: Earth’s season 2. The series stars Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant, and Alex Lawther in central roles.

The series is produced by Fargo director Noah Fawley. Both series are streamed and aired on FX, alongside his yet another critically acclaimed thriller show, Legion, starring Aubrey Plaza.

Alien: Earth has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 94% and an IMDb rating of 7.1/10. The series is hailed for its blend of science fiction and horror elements. Some fans go so far as to compare it with Stranger Things, even.

The series is set after the events of the 1979 film Alien. It is a part of the Alien franchise, except it’s a series that focuses on a hybrid woman who navigates herself in a world of cybernetic organisms, humans, and ambitious pursuits of immortality.

It’s not at all surprising that Dinklage landed this role, considering his range when it comes to acting. He recently starred in Dexter: Resurrection Season 1, where he played Leon Prater, a billionaire obsessed with serial killers. He previously starred in X-Men: Days of the Future Past, where he played Bolivar Trask. Trask is a sadistic military scientist who perceives mutants as a threat to humanity and seeks to terminate them altogether!

Other than that, Dinklage has starred in numerous sci-fi and dystopian projects, including Hunger Games and Rememory, which is commendable to say the least.

As of now, his role has not been made public, though some reports suggest that Dinklage has joined Season 2 as a regular. It would be thrilling to see how this pans out as most fans see his addition to the cast as promising in more ways than one.

Alien: Earth Season 2 is slated for release in 2027.
