Characters that might die in The Boys season 5

10. Billy Butcher

10. Billy Butcher

Butcher is already a ticking time bomb. Between the parasitic tumor (Kessler) and the experimental side effects of his past V use, he is effectively on a s------ mission. He has made it clear that he intends to finish this by any means necessary, making a final, sacrificial act almost certain.

9. Sister Sage

9. Sister Sage

Sage is the smartest person in the room, but that is a dangerous place to be when the "leader" of the room is Homelander. Her high-stakes political maneuvering is brilliant, but it relies on her ability to stay two steps ahead of a sociopath who doesn't like being managed. If her plan fails or she manages to outshine Homelander one time too many, she won't survive the fallout.

8. Firecracker

8. Firecracker

Firecracker is inherently volatile. Her dependence on medication, combined with her blind, militant zeal for Homelander, makes her a liability. She is a puppet for Vought’s propaganda, and once she ceases to be useful—or if she becomes too unpredictable—she will likely be discarded by the very people she worships.

7. Ashley Barrett

7. Ashley Barrett

Ashley is in the most unpredictable position of anyone. Having injected herself with Compound V in a desperate bid to survive the Season 4 finale, she is now an unknown variable. Whether she mutates, succumbs to the substance, or is disposed of by a paranoid Homelander, her survival odds are incredibly low.

6. The Deep

6. The Deep

His "redemption" was always performative, and he has fully cemented his place as a coward and an enforcer for the worst of Vought. A pathetic, unheroic death feels like the only fitting conclusion for a character who has consistently chosen the path of least resistance and greatest cruelty.

5. Kimiko

5. Kimiko

Kimiko’s resilience has been tested time and again, but the psychological toll of her past—and her current involvement in the war—is mounting. She is a top-tier fighter, but in a world of god-like Supes, even her healing factor might not be enough to survive the scale of the conflict coming in the final episodes.

4. Frenchie

4. Frenchie

Frenchie has spent the entire series trying to atone for his past, and he is often the first to volunteer for the most dangerous parts of a plan. Given his complex history and his intense protective drive over the team, many fans expect him to make the ultimate sacrifice to ensure their survival.

3. Mother’s Milk (MM)

3. Mother’s Milk (MM)

As the moral center and tactical leader of the team, MM is in the crosshairs. He has spent the season trying to keep the team intact while dealing with the fallout of the Season 4 finale. His role as the strategist of the resistance makes him a high-priority target for Homelander’s new regime.

2. A-Train

2. A-Train

His journey from corporate shill to genuine hero is one of the best arcs in the show, but in The Boys, morality usually gets you killed. Now that he is actively working against Vought from the inside, his exposure feels like a matter of time. He is a prime candidate for a tragic, redemptive sacrifice.

1. Homelander

1. Homelander

His death is the inevitable climax of the entire series. With his total grip on the U.S. government, his ego has reached a point where he is essentially a god waiting to be toppled. Whether he is taken down by Butcher, Ryan, or his own unraveling sanity, he is the biggest target on the board.
