Dakota Mortenson gets edited out of Vanderpump Villa

According to an exclusive report by Variety, Dakota Mortensen will be edited out of Vanderpump Villa’s upcoming season. This was done after the allegations of domestic abuse and assault made by Mortensen’s now ex-partner, Taylor Frankie Paul.

The pair started dating in August 2022 after they connected on social media. This was after her swinging scandal and divorce. They had an on-and-off relationship, but the allegations started in 2023 when Taylor was arrested and charged by Herriman Police with three misdemeanors.

This included her flinging stools at Mortensen in the presence of a child, which was mentioned in the statement by the Herriman Police, Utah. It also stated that the child was injured as a result of the assault.

In February 2026, the investigations reopened, and this time, Mortensen alleged that Paul assaulted him. This was confirmed by Mortensen’s friend, whose statement was recorded in the Draper City Police’s report.

This was after a video was leaked to TMZ showing Paul throwing stools and attacking Mortensen and her daughter, crying in the background. This opened the third investigation into the case, the second one being in early February 2026.

Following this incident, ABC recently cancelled the 22nd season of The Bachelorette, which was going to feature Paul. The domestic violence investigation also led to Hulu halting Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Season 5.

As per reports obtained by People, Taylor Frankie Paul has lost custody of her child, temporarily, following the allegations. There has yet to be a court hearing, which is scheduled for April 7.

The upcoming hearing will decide if Mortensen gets the final protective order or not. This is a part of the third investigation in this case, and while Hulu has dropped Mortensen from Vanderpump Villa, the network has released no formal statement regarding the case.
