Whitney Leavitt has been a core cast member of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives since its inception. Leavitt is a hugely polarizing figure in the Hulu original reality series, often finding herself at the center of major conflicts and drama. So much so, there is industry speculation about her getting her own spinoff, and Leavitt has addressed the issue with a TikTok video.
Leavitt teases audience about spinoff with humorous TikTok video
Instead of addressing the rumors with an official statement, she chose humor to keep the audience in the dark about whether her own spinoff had been commissioned. She had also roped in her husband to provide a cryptic message to her fans. The video shows her dancing to the Village People hit “In the Navy,” addressing the buzz among the fans about her getting a new show.
She further captioned the video, “how it feels knowing y’all want a Leavitt spin–off,” to add fuel to the fire. As the couple lip-synced to the song, certain parts particularly grabbed viewers’ attention.
In the clip, Whitney’s husband, Connor Leavitt, could be seen lip-syncing the lyric, “They want you… as a new recruit,” to which Whitney’s cheeky response was, “Who me?” The exchange only added to the speculation, especially as fans began dissecting every detail of the post.
However, the matter doesn’t come to a close here, as Connor turned up in the comment section to further confuse the viewers. “This may or may not be happening,” he wrote, while Whitney decided to like the comment. The possibility of the project still remains up in the air, as there has been no official announcement from Hulu or the show’s producers regarding the spinoff.
Leavitt is one of its most talked-about personalities, and her antics in the show, which are divisive to say the least, have made her a standout figure in the series and a potential candidate for a solo venture.
Regardless, whether it was a calculated tease or simply a casual response, one thing is for sure: it has kept her firmly in the spotlight and proved that sometimes, a playful video is all it takes to get the internet buzzing.
