Hollywood actor Channing Tatum has been recovering from a shoulder injury he suffered in early February. In a recent Instagram post, he gave an update about his healing journey. He noted how tough it was mentally to cope with the injury, which served as a significant roadblock in his daily routine.
Tatum is slowly getting mobility back in his shoulder
In an Instagram video post dated March 28, the actor revealed that the rehabilitation process for his separated shoulder is going smoothly. It has been over a month since the Magic Mike actor underwent surgery for the injury, and he shared that the “scar” is healing well.
“I don’t know if you can see that or not but the scar is actually healing up pretty nice,” Tatum said, adding that he is progressively getting his mobility back in his injured shoulder.
As he focused his camera on the scar on his shoulder, he stated, “It’s atrophied so much though I feel like a toddler in the gym.”
Furthermore, he revealed that his doctor has given him the green light to train and that he will begin filming for his next movie in six weeks.
“Good news is though the doctor finally gave me the green light so I can train so it’s a good day finally,” he said.
However, the recovery process has not been easy for him, taking a toll on his mental health. “This has been a rough one. I’ve been mentally up and down in my head more than I think I ever have been in my life.”
It was in a February 4 Instagram post that Tatum uploaded a picture of himself in a hospital gown before he went under the knife. “Another challenge. This one is gonna be hard. But whatever. Let’s get it in,” he captioned the picture.
However, it comes as good news for his fans that he will soon begin filming for his upcoming untitled Isle of Man TT motorcycle project. As he mentioned in his latest Instagram post, he is back on the grind and ready to immerse himself in his creative endeavors after battling what he described as one of the lowest points during his injury recovery.
