After his breakthrough success with Schitt’s Creek, Dan Levy is gearing up for his new series, Big Mistakes. He sat down for an interview where he discussed his series, but most importantly, his frustration at the pressure he received from fans. What is it about? Let’s find out!

Dan Levy expresses frustration over fans’ expectations

Recently, Dan Levy did an interview with Deadline where he spoke about his upcoming series, Big Mistakes. When asked about what made him shift from Schitt’s Creek to Big Mistakes, he said: Well, like a lot of time, I think I had to pass, and I feel like it’s a lot to ask, I mean, when the show ended, there was this immediate conversation of like, “what are you doing next which I think is a horrible way of doing business. We’re literally wrapping the last episode, and they’re like, So what’s next?” God forbid I nap.”

Quite honestly, Levy’s frustration at fans constantly asking about the follow-ups is understandable. It’s become a norm to ask actors, directors, and showrunners what’s next to come. While some take it in stride, others feel entirely overwhelmed by the question itself.

Levy previously co-created the famed sitcom Schitt’s Creek along with his father, Eugene Levy. It stood out in more ways than one, especially because of its portrayal of family dynamics and all the more relatable characters.

Big Mistakes stars Dan Levy as Nicky and Taylor Ortega as Morgan. Both Nicky and Morgan are siblings who find themselves intertwined in the world of crime and chaos. What follows is a chain of hilarious, unhinged, and downright dramatic events that are sure to have everyone glued to their seats.

Netflix released the trailer on 12th March, and it took over the internet. Fans are all hyped up for Levy’s new show, and it has everything to do with the premise, the characters, and most importantly, the casting.

There’s Mark Ivanir, Laurie Metcalf, Boran Kuzum, and Elizabeth Perkins. The casting is spot-on, and the trailer looks more than promising, so to speak.

Big Mistakes is slated for release on 9th April 2026 on Netflix.
