April is going to be an exciting month for all the binge-watchers. This is mainly because of the spring releases, and it also includes The Boys as well. The crew is all set to wrap up the series with the final season, and Eric Kripke recently confirmed it.
Eric Kripke’s message for The Boys’ fans
Eric Kripke, the showrunner and writer behind Amazon Prime’s hit series The Boys, took to his Instagram to update fans about the current status of the final season. He posted a carousel of photos with the crew and captioned it as follows:
The very last color tweaks on the very last VFX shots of the very last episode of #TheBoys. It’s now totally, completely 100% done. Out of our hands and heading into yours. It’s funny, it never truly hit me that the show was over.
Kripke’s post was deeply emotional as the writer was in shock about the series ending. His post paid tribute to the entire cast and crew of The Boys.
The Boys’ final season will be released in April and follows the journey of Billy Butcher and Soldier Boy as they plan to halt The Homelander’s motives.
Antony Starr confirmed that the final season will have more carnage and gore, just like the previous seasons, and it will be all the more exciting. He said so in an interview with Entertainment Tonight while appearing alongside his costar Karl Urban, who plays Billy Butcher in the series.
Both Karl Urban and the cast trained extensively over the years for their respective roles. The final season, however, would feature a more upgraded and beast-mode version of Billy Butcher.
The season would, for sure, also feature some amped-up fights and epic showdowns that most fans are looking forward to.
Season 5 will follow Billy Butcher and his gang working in tandem to put an end to The Homelander. He will use the super-killing virus, and with the help of Soldier Boy, they will foil the enemy’s plans to establish tyranny.
The Boys Season 5 will release on April 8, 2026. The series can be streamed on Amazon Prime.
