The Japanese Grand Prix has officially begun and will go on in full swing. F1 fans have been eagerly waiting for this, and it seems like it’s going to be full of surprises. One such case is Lewis Hamilton’s appearance with the Queen’s Gambit star Anya Taylor-Joy.
Lewis Hamilton spotted with Anya Taylor-Joy at Grand Prix
Apart from being a celebrated actress, Anya Taylor-Joy is a sports enthusiast. She has particularly taken an interest in football and F1, and this is especially the case with her appearance at the Formula 1 races.
Time and time again, she has supported Lewis Hamilton and shown up for the races. Their friendship dates back as early as 2024, when the actress was spotted at the Monaco Grand Prix. She was interviewed by Sky Sports, where the interviewer asked her if it was her first time at the Grand Prix, to which she responded, “I’m here to support a wonderful friend and an absolute legend. I grew up watching the races with my parents, and it’s really exciting.” –
This was at the Monaco Grand Prix, where she simultaneously promoted her film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. She also learned to drive on the sets of that film, claiming in an interview with Letterboxd. “The first thing they had me do in a car was a juicy lift 180. I don’t have a driver’s license. They shoved me in a car, and they went, “Okay, just floor it, grab the emergency brake, and zoom.”
Joy and Hamilton have made news for their friendship. She flew with Hamilton after the British Grand Prix, which was held almost 8 months ago. They also hugged during this time, and the clip went viral. Her latest appearance at the Suzuka Grand Prix has sparked dating rumors. Fans have added to the speculations as well, while others celebrate their wholesome friendship on the internet.
Joy appeared alongside her cast from the Super Mario Galaxy Movie, including Jack Black, Chris Pratt, and Brie Larson. They also promoted the film while simultaneously attending the prestigious and much-awaited Suzuka Grand Prix.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is scheduled for release on 1st April 2026.
