Marvel fans can officially breathe a sigh of relief as ‘Daredevil: Born Again‘ is coming back for a third season. Marvel Studios has confirmed that production will begin in 2026, ensuring the ‘Man Without Fear‘ isn’t hanging up his horns anytime soon. The announcement was made by Brad Winderbaum, who is the Marvel Studios’ head of streaming, television, and animation, during an interview with IGN, where he confirmed, “In terms of Daredevil, yeah, we are greenlit for Season 3 and we start shooting next year.”
The news settles weeks of confusion after Charlie Cox had mistakenly referred to Season 2 as the show’s “final season,” sparking concern among us, but later on Vincent D’Onofrio later hinted there was still hope for more, and now Marvel has made it official.
Street-Level Drama Intensified As Daredevil: Born Again Journey Continues

When Born Again debuted, it carried the pressure of reviving the acclaimed Netflix Daredevil series while adapting to Marvel’s Disney+ model. Season 1 saw Cox return as Matt Murdock, who is balancing his life as a lawyer and vigilante, while D’Onofrio reprised his role as Wilson Fisk, the ruthless Kingpin we all know about. Their rivalry once again became the heart of the show, and mixing brutal street-level action with emotional weight.
But still, the first season wasn’t without any bumps. As per the insiders, Marvel originally planned Born Again as a near-complete reboot, and distancing it from the Netflix storyline. But the early feedback, which came from both the actors and from fans like us, pushed Marvel to pivot mid-production. This led to new episodes being written and reshot, resulting in a darker, more grimmer tone that aligned more closely with the original series.
Scheduled to premiere in early 2026, Season 2 will be the first full season shaped under this new creative direction under Disney+, and we know that the stakes are already high. Krysten Ritter’s return as Jessica Jones marks the first major Defenders crossover since Marvel regained control of its Netflix properties. This raises the possibility of more cameos, as we fans keep on speculating about Luke Cage, Iron Fist, or even Jon Bernthal’s Punisher showing up down the line.
Marvel Promises More Action, Drama, and Defenders Connections

But that is not all. On top of everything, Elden Henson, who made a brief cameo as Foggy Nelson in the reshot pilot, is confirmed to return in some capacity. There are also rumors about Wilson Bethel reprising his role as Bullseye and Deborah Ann Woll potentially stepping back into Karen Page’s shoes, though Marvel has kept details tightly under wraps.
Now, with Season 3 confirmed, Marvel has the chance to expand Born Again into a cornerstone of its street-level storytelling. Matt Murdock’s war with Fisk is far from over, and the renewed focus on character-driven drama suggests that we will get the layered storytelling that made the Netflix series so beloved. There’s also growing speculation that Marvel could use Born Again to weave the Defenders more formally into the MCU, giving these characters meaningful connections to bigger storylines.
For longtime viewers and fans, this renewal is a promise that Daredevil’s journey is only beginning. As Winderbaum told IGN, Marvel isn’t slowing down anytime soon, because the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen has fought his way back, and the best may still be to come.
